This is going to sound a little “overdone” or whatnot, but, What if 50% of the population was killed off tomorrow? What if you didn’t have the chance to say the one thing that you needed to say to one person? What if you didn’t achieve you’re life’s goal? What if you live? How are you going to face the fact that most likely all of the people that you know are dead? How are the select few going to maintain everyday systems like, food, security etc? Who will lead the world?
I don’t know if I went a little too far, but it was still kind of interesting to think about this topic a little more under the surface.

Surely if only 50% of the people are killed off then only half the people you know are likely to be dead. I would have gone with a higher number – hypothetically killed off about 90 or 95 percent.
But interesting thought. That’s why we should live our lives in a way that if this is the last time we see someone we won’t regret anything. Because tomorrow they could be gone.
I reckon the world would actually cope quite well in the food and security issue. Enough people would remain to hold things together.
And who will lead the world? There’s always somebody out there willing to take advantage of tragic circumstances. Even if they population was cut down and happened to take all the current ‘world’ leaders – more would happily rise up and terrorize.
Interesting follow up questions.
